《时空怪客 Quantum Leap》是在89-93年时播出的科幻剧，母剧讲述物理学家Sam Beckett（Scott Bakula饰演）在获得政府支持下进行一项名为「量子跳跃」的时间旅行研究计划，但当苦无进展并准备被政府撤资下，Sam决定自己走进加速器进行测试。可惜实验并没有完全成功，主角虽然成功进行了时间旅行，但跳跃点并不受控，而且会一直持续跳跃。
