La première est faite de films que j’ai tournés avec ma première Bolex à notre arrivée en Amérique, surtout pendant les années 1950 à 1953. Ce sont les images de ma vie, de celle d’Adolfas, de ce à quoi nous ressemblions à l’époque ; des plans d’immigrants à Brooklyn, pique-niquant, dansant, chantant ; les rues de Williamsburg. La seconde partie a été tournée en août 1971, en Lituanie. Presque tout a été filmé à Seminiskiai, mon village natal. On y voit la vieille maison, ma mère (née en 1887), tous mes frères célébrant notre retour, les endroits que nous connaissions, la vie aux champs et autres détails insignifiants. Ce n’est pas une image de la Lituanie actuelle, ce sont les souvenirs d’une "Personne déplacée" retrouvant sa maison pour la première fois après vingt-cinq ans. La troisième partie débute par une parenthèse sur Elmshorn, un faubourg de Hambourg, où nous avons passé un an dans un camp de travaux forcés pendant la guerre. Après avoir fermé la parenthèse, nous nous retrouvons à Vienne avec quelques-uns de mes meilleurs amis, Peter Kubelka, Hermann Nitsch, Annette Michelson, Ken Jacobs. Le film s’achève sur l’incendie du marché aux fruits de Vienne, en août 1971. Le son : je parle, pendant une grande partie du film, de moi-même en tant que "Personne déplacée", mes rapports avec la Maison, la Mémoire, la Culture, les Racines, l’Enfance. Il y aussi quelques chansons lituaniennes chantées par tous les frères Mekas. » Jonas Mekas « Mekas n’a donc pas choisi l’exil. Les circonstances l’y ont contraint. Prime Video announced that the eight-episode docuseries Tampa Baes will drop this fall. The streaming service briefly teased the series on social media, introducing its subjects as “the young lesbian ‘it-crowd’ navigating and celebrating life in Tampa Bay — Florida’s LGBTQ+ hub and the place to see and be seen.” The titular Tampa baes are friends, of course, but sometimes more than that, too. Movers and shakers, they’re “always ready for an adventure or a good party” but they reportedly have a serious side as well. The official description characterizes the cast as “ambitious and unapologetic while constantly battling stereotypes and labels.”

It's a wonderful spoof documentary following a team on its quest for the oil gobbler, an animal that has evolved to be the perfect denizen of a polluted world. Loathed by the locals for its voracious habit of eating anything plastic, from wellington boots to the protective sleeves farmers put round their saplings to prevent them being eaten by other animals, the ropaci is an elusive specimen and has the team - and thus the audience - intrigued. Finally, they catch it on film - and then manage to capture a young one that they want to take back home with them. The perils of their journey from the pollution-ridden Bohemian basin back through the clean, fresh air of the forest prove too much for the little creature and they come up with an ingenious way of saving it.
